Best Weekend Ever!

This weekend was so fun! My friend Dakota came and visited me from Logan! I was so excited to see her! We had gone too long without seeing each other it was a great reunion! 

Friday night she got here and we just hung out, watched a movie, and just relaxed! It was pretty awesome! Dakota brought an air mattress and my sister gave us bedding which was awesome! We were pretty set sleeping wise! 

Saturday we woke up early and headed up to Island Park to play in the snow! Dakota's future cousins invited us up to their cabin and it was so fun! The snow instantly put us in a good mood and just being in Island Park made it even better! The girl's family was there and the mom was sure to make sure we were well fed! It was wonderful! We also got to play on their snowmobiles a little bit and it was a blast! Despite the fact that we only had jeans and jackets, we didn't care! 

After snowmobiling we went to Big Springs to feed the fish! And we got to have a fire and roast hot-dogs, with s'mores!I just love being in Island park! 

Saturday night we went to a movie called "The Saratov Approach" it was so so so good. It is about these two missionaries who were called to Russia and they get kidnapped. It is just one of those movies that proves with faith anything is possible! I won't spoil the ending but you seriously need to watch it, it will build your testimony!

After the movie we went back to my apartment and painted our nails!

Sunday we went to church and came home and made chicken fajitas, and took a little nap, went for a walk around campus and said goodbye!

I miss this girl so much! We don't get to hang out that much anymore because we go to different schools but it is always so fun and like we never left each other! I can't wait to hang out with her again! 

p.s: only two weeks until Thanksgiving and when Erica gets home!!!! :]

Happy Halloween!

Well Halloween wasn't the most exciting year! Seriously holidays should not be on school nights...it just ruins everything! Oh well, my roommates and I still decided to dress up and were determined to find something to do...(we didn't) 

My wonderful roommate Becca is amazing at doing costume makeup and was hired by about five girls to do so! She did deer makeup for me and our friend Addison! 

Seriously she is a pro!

(p.s. people kept thinking we were the fox off of that incredibly annoying song...we were not the fox, and we were very insulted by people who assumed so!)

My roommate Ashton was a gypsie...she wasn't too sure how they pose...she kept saying, I just need to pretend like I'm stealing something...I guess that's what gypsies do I wasn't aware of that haha! 

My adorable roommate Becca was a doll...

ok so background story. Becca and I were going to be deer together and find an awesome party to go to and make a lot of memories. Well nothing ever came up so I thought of the idea to have an anti-Halloween party, (mostly because we had no Halloween plans) anyways We were going to have my roommate Julianne and her boyfriend be Santa and Mrs. Clause, Becca and I were going to be reindeer, Ashton and Ali were going to be elves and we were going to watch the movie Elf. Well eventually people decided to secretly shy away from this wonderful plan leaving me and Becca to really be the only ones who wanted to do it...but then Addison came over and wanted to be a deer too and then Becca decided she wanted to be a doll, she was a Christmas toy doll, and no one had the movie Elf. So that plan failed miserably but it was still a wonderful thought!

Oh and Ali still decided to be an elf! She is so cute! 

All and all it was a great Halloween even though we got all dressed up and only drove around! I love this semester and my roommates! 

P.S This made me laugh so hard! Honey Boo Boo's family dressed up as The Kardashians for Halloween...it really shouldn't have made me laugh as hard as I did, but I found this hilarious! Scott and Bruce are my favorite in this picture! :]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!

So we decided to throw Becca a surprise party on Sunday night and it was quite a job…more than I even anticipated! We talked with her brother about making her dinner on Sunday and after much persuasion without giving away our plan he finally got her to agree! So immediately after church on Sunday we all had good excuses and left to go bake away, making a grand total of 80 cupcakes! We were planning on a lot of people and good thing too because her party was PACKED! We had people hiding in closets, hallways, you name it they were there! It was so fun! Poor Becca thought we didn’t want to hang out with her on her birthday because we all left so we all felt bad, but I hope the party made up for it!

 the best part is one of Becca’s good guy friends sang a 1 direction song just for her, Kiss You, she was so red and loved every minute.

 

Becca was so surprised and it was so so so so so fun! There was cake and of course cupcakes. We had a birthday button and a birthday hat for her to wear. She was known as the birthday princess. It was so fun, and I loved doing it for her!

Brooks from the Bachelorette!

That’s right, this important item deserves it’s own blog post! I was able to meet Brooks from Desiree’s season of the bachelorette! He was one of the final few, but HE broke it off with her and broke everyone’s heart, especially mine! I wanted him to win but that’s ok because he is still single! ;]

When I went up to take a picture he asked me if I watched the show and I said of course and he asked if I thought he was going to come back on the final episode and I told him I was wishing he would and then he hugged me and kiddingly said, “we gotcha good!” Oh my goodness he could have hugged me all day and I would have been just fine with that! He was one fine man! :] 

Awful plays and birthday decorating!

So I had to go to this play for a class, and I drug my roommate Becca with me! Needless to say it was the worst play I have ever been too and we both decided we would have much rather gnawed off our legs than watch the play it was THAT bad!

I also got to go to a pumpkin patch with Hyle and Kyle's sister Brooke! It was super fun, it was the first time of the season, but it was certainly a good one! 

On Sunday, today, it was my roommate Becca's birthday! We wanted to make it super fun so on Saturday night we took her shopping and out to dinner! She is so stinking cute and so innocent I just love Becca to death! 

After dinner and shopping we watched a movie and waited for her to go to bed so we could decorate for her party...which we thought would be easy because she generally goes to bed pretty early, but of course she decided to go to bed at 12:30 and not even fall asleep till almost 1! Which doesn't seem like much of a problem but when you have 9:00 church it is pretty rough! But needless to say we did it and she LOVED it! Funny story, so we were trying to be quiet of course so we don't wake her up but we got these balloons that were different sizes and some had a little too much air in them, and would pop just randomly! It was both scary and not good. We did this balloon avalanche on her door so that when she opened the door balloons would fall into her bedroom and of course the balloons kept on popping and I have no idea how it didn't wake her up but we were sure glad it didn't! 

Even though we didn't get done until about 3:00 AM it was well worth it and she loved it! I love Becca and we had even more in store for her on Sunday night! :]

Football and Sunsets!

Holy cow I am so behind on blogging it is not even funny! This semester is taking a toll on my life...but that's ok because I always look forward to the chance I get to relax and blog! 

A couple weeks ago my sister and I went to my "little" cousins football game! This kid is a stud and scored three of the four touchdowns! He's not so little anymore! 

My sister and I embarrassed him pretty good, gotta love seventh graders! 

Also one Saturday I was studying in one of the buildings on campus and when I decided to go to the bathroom, I leave shutting the door not even thinking if it was locked and come back to find EVERYTHING except my cell-phone was locked in this room on a Saturday afternoon with no one around! Awesome! Luckily some nice people gave me the idea to go to campus security and they let me in but wouldn't let me stay because if the door locks when it shuts that means they probably don't want anyone in there so I had to leave the comfy seats and go to a less comfortable room but luckily with all my stuff! 

The Fall sunsets here are so pretty lately! The weather has been so nice and it just feels good to enjoy fall for once!

October = Haunted Houses!

I have never been to so many haunted houses in my life...I have been to four in the past week! I went to Albion with my friends, and then this last weekend I went to three! It's so fun, and I guess that is what Halloween is for right?

On Wednesday my roommates and I were really annoyed with life and decided to pretend school didn't exist and watch a movie! It was so nice, we ordered pizza, got pops from Great Scott's, and watched a movie. It was really awesome!

Friday we went to a something called a Haunted Theater in Idaho Falls! It was so fun! This place is actually haunted and they did a really good job at scaring us! You go in this tiny tiny room and they talk it up, they tell you they can touch you, and explain how pitch black it is and how you need to keep your arms out because there are drop-offs and some pretty intense stuff. You crawl, get dropped on an elevator, almost get hit by a car, and so on! It was pretty awesome! Sadly I didn't get any pictures because it was all so fast, but just know it was really fun! 

Saturday night my roommate Ashton and I had a roommate date and went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe, and then went to the Haunted Forest with a group of friends. It was super fun! They take you out to the middle of this forest on a hay ride, and you follow the trail in the dark. It is kinda creepy and the trees lit up like it we were in a horror movie! 

All in all it was a great week/weekend! I can't believe we are already to the middle of October! Time is flying by! :]
