Backyard Camp-out!

Last night we had a camping adventure. My sister Shawna is here for the week, she lives in Utah and teaches first grade. She is on summer vacation and is spending a week at home! Last night she had a grand idea to have a camp-out in our backyard with our neighbors. They brought the tent and we got the treats! It really was fun...I'm not a huge fan of sleeping in tents I love everything else about camping but sleeping in tents is not something that really appeals to me. Everyone else had to intentions of staying out all night but because of the lovely Idaho wind something about sleeping in a warm bed sounded much more fun! But while the weather was nice it was great! We had a campfire, roasted smore's and scary stories, and played games! It really was fun!

Summer nights are by far the best...and they're even better in Idaho!

Fathers Day Bash!

Well in case you haven't heard today is fathers day! Alllllll Righttttt....(apparently that is my trademark every time my family sees me they say alllll righttttt click HERE to get filled in!) Well let me tell ya this weekend was sure a good one, my Dad certainly got spoiled...but he certainly deserved it! I was thinking a lot about all the things my Dad has done for me and I lost count of all that my dad has done for me...just me...in my short 20 years of life! He truly is the most selfless, caring, goofiest, guy I know! Most girls would say, I'll always be daddies little girl...but I say I'll always be dad's little bud! This weekend everyone was able to come home, except Erica of course...Hyle came on Friday and Shawna came today (Sunday).

Friday Holli and I spent practically all day watching this show called Ghost Whisperer. It’s a pretty addictive show...I have recently accepted the fact that I get really into shows...I cry with them, and get excited with them it’s really pathetic but I love it! Well on Saturday we told my Dad we could/would do whatever he wanted to do. So he wanted to take Kyle to go work on the tractor he just bought...he took Holli, Kyle and myself and we were ready to help...except you have to understand how helpful two girls are that know nothing about tractors are except our hands were small enough to get in those crevices the boys couldn't so that’s how we helped other than that Holli and I just rode 4-wheelers around the shop!

After the tractor was done Dad wanted to go shoot guns...something I remember doing with him since I was a little kid. We went out to the desert and found some targets and shot away Holli and I were no where near as good as Kyle and Dad but we like to think that for girls we are pretty dang good!

It really was a great day! We went home filthy and enjoyed home made cafe rio salads! They were really good, we probably won't go back there ever again! (just kidding) but they were really good!

For Fathers Day my sisters and I got my dad every season of Hogan's Hero's a show he loved as a little kid! My mom got him a winch to load his four wheelers onto his trailer! We grilled steaks and rubbed his head and feet...something he has guilted us into for Fathers Day and his birthday since we were kids!

All in all I think this was a pretty successful Fathers Day! Don't know what I would do without this guy! He is the only guy who can do the happy dance with us, be crazy and goofy with us, and give us everything and more! Love you Dad!!!

Summer Catch-Up/ Weekend Adventure!

Ok so I know this is really really pathetic! It has been over a month since my last post! I don't know what has gotten into me but better now than never right?

Home life is so awesome! I just love being with my family! This Summer is one that I am certainly not going to forget! I have already made so many memories and I just love summer!

This Summer my job is babysitting for a couple families during the week! It is the best decision I have ever made because I get to play outside all day long and I gotta say my tan is looking pretty dang nice!

Here are the little girls that I play with on a regular basis...

This is Lux, she is 5 years old and acts as if she is a 16 year old girl! She is so funny and loves to play hide & seek, sisters, I'm always the little sister and she is my older sister whose Mom is either on vacation or died I always lean towards vacation, she loves me to jump on the tramp with her, play Mother May I, Play Parade on the sidewalk, and so much more...if you haven't been able to tell already she has quite the imagination! She is the cutest little thing!

This is Sayde and she's 2! She loves Peppa Pig, and her kitty Toby. She loves to do whatever Lux is doing...even if Lux doesn't want her to! It always makes me laugh at how protective these two are of each other...I wouldn't want to be the one to stand between these two they would fight to the death!

Although I have only been watching them for a few weeks I have really grown to love these two little stinkers! They are my buddies, and they are making my Summer so fun!

Holli and I are really starting make some memories! We just went on this way adventurous road trip this weekend! I love hanging out with her! Now that she is older, 6 years doesn't make that much of a difference! It's so fun to hang out with her now...even if she thinks I am embarrassing in front of her friends!

This weekend was my cousin Elise's bridal shower in Salt Lake. So Holli and I decided to make a trip of it and go see Shawna! We left Friday morning and that night went to a concert in Provo. It was surprisingly really fun! They do this concert series for free the first Friday of every month on the roof of this parking garage in downtown Provo! It was Joshua James, someone I had never heard of but it was really cool!

Saturday was the bridal shower and it was fun to see all of my cousins that I hadn't seen in a while! After the shower we went back to Shawna's to find out my parents and Hyle were going to the cabin in Island Park! A little bummed Holli and I decided to surprise them and drive up there too! Shawna had plans for the rest of the weekend and couldn't come with which was a bummer but we still had fun! We left at five o'clock and we excited! We didn't get forty five minutes down the road before a huge traffic jam! My first ever driving alone! I was a nervous wreck, but Holli calmed me down...We were a good team! After the traffic we were well on our way for the five hour trip to Island Park!

I chickened out and called my dad in Pocatello to tell him we were coming! Holli made fun of me and called me a baby...one day I hope she'll understand but probably not! Driving up Ashton Hill and into Island Park in the dark is one of the scariest things I've ever done! I'm a paranoid freak anyway but I was so nervous a deer was going to jump out in the road and we were going to hit it! But luckily we made it after seeing several deer getting ready to dart into the road...someone was certainly watching out for us!

We got to the cabin a home away from home for us! Although we were only there one night we have been chomping at the bit to get up there in the fresh air and beautiful weather! And boy was it beautiful...we went for a long drive around Island Park, up to Sawtell, moose hunting and had no luck, but just enjoyed being in nature!

This weekend was one of the many adventures I feel we will have this Summer!
