Stressed!

Ok folks, I think I am a little to young to worry about such silly things! I stress out over the littlest things and I can't help it! If the saying, stress takes years off of your life is true I don't think I have to many years left!  School is starting in a couple of weeks and getting classes was surely a pain in my behind so I am hoping that everything will work out the way I planned but what ever works out the way you plan...so of course I have a back up plan! I applied for a job and the interview is two days before I was planning to move up not to big of a deal I just need to stop blogging and get packing!  I am going school clothes shopping and have no idea what I need....which may sound dumb but I tend to keep clothes that I have had for years, thinking it is some fashionable item I own when I go to put it on I realize I wore it in the 9th grade and lets just say I am not as "young as I once was!" Ok I must admit, I am not one to complain to others, excluding my mom, dad, and sisters but I just thought that if maybe I wrote down all that I had to do it would seem like not as much and I would feel better! Lets hope this works! Ha!

Where did the Summer go?!?

Holy moly! It is already time for school again! I can hardly believe it! I mean sure, we all have to get responsible at some point but the Summer just literally flew by! I must say though this Summer has been one to remember! I have made so many memories and really had a ball! At the start of our Summer, we made a bucket list...here is what we "wanted" to do!

Staci & Holli’s Bucket List: Summer 2012-
          1. Go on lots of bike-rides
          2. Go on a random trip
          3. Watch an entire season of a show-start to finish
          4. Have a HUGE water-balloon fight!
          5. Go to a midnight premier of a movie
          6. Read a book series
          7. Take a picture every day
          8. Go to Pennies
          9. Go to Alaska
          10. Read the Book of Mormon before summer is over
          11. Pull an all nighter
          12. Go on getaway trips to the cabin
          13. Do something fun with Erica before she leaves
          14.  Ride four-wheelers
          15.  Sleep on the tramp
          16.  Go star gazing
          17.  Make a fort
          18.  Make a pintrest dinner
          19.  Pintrest crafts- 1 every month
          20. Go fishing
Ok so we probably only did about 4 of the twenty things on this list...mostly because we completely forgot about it haha! But none the less this Summer still totally ROCKED! Now that it is coming to a close I am getting really depressed...I do this at the end of every season but with that I am really excited for the next season Fall! Such a beautiful time of year...I can't wait to get back into school and get back into an ORGANIZED routine! But I am surely going to miss those long Summer nights with no homework! Ah well! What do ya do?

Holy moly! Did I really just go to Alaska?!?!

Alaska was so much fun! It is really indescribable of how beautiful and peaceful Alaska is. On one side there are mountains and green valleys and on the other side you have the ocean and glaciers! Quite breathtaking! We left on August 8th and came back August 16th. My sister, Heidi, married, Kyle who is from Alaska. They drove to Alaska the week before...read about their journey here They had a reception in Homer, where they're from and where we stayed, so we all, including grandma Stocking got to go! The only one who wasn't there and who would have loved it the most was Erica! Although she did pop in for a few pictures haha! Anyways the trip was very busy, but tons of fun! We went fishing, went to a wildlife refuge, as well as a sea life center. We went on hikes, went to a Russian village, went to a stock race where Kyle took second place! We ate lots of delicious fish, and went shopping some more! This is just some of what we did! You're only in Alaska once...hopefully we can go back again! :] Here are a few pictures from the trip but honestly they don't do the beautiful state justice!

My first plane ride...I liked it!

Portage Glacier...that green mountain is NOT the glacier

Erica popped in!

Fair week...part 2!

Alright so I think we can all assume that fair is and always will be a blast, when you have, good food, late nights, awesome friends, and an animal to show! This was my last year being able to do fair so I tried to make it the most memorable I could! It was for sure a one I will always remember! So day one, Monday was interviews not a big deal. I got in the top ten for both interview and record books which is something I have never done before! I was really excited I did so well...seeing as how I was such a procrastinator the entire Summer but I am not complaining! :) Monday night was the best night for us to take our calves in, weigh-inn wasn't until Tuesday morning but this year Dad was head honcho for the entire dairy calves so he wouldn't be able to help us at all on Tuesday, so Monday it was! The booth was decorated and the calves were comfortable so it was really a grand idea in my book! Tuesday morning was weigh inn, mine weighed in at 489 pounds and Hollster's was 425. It was a good year and we were happy! Wednesday was clipping day...which only equals one thing! GROSS! We clipped the calves and felt disgusting afterwords but they looked nice and sharp for Thursday which was show day! Holli and I did great! No big ribbons this year, but we both got all blues and were happy with that! Thursday night my friend Dakota invited us to stay in her cousins camper! It was really fun, we were really tired from showing but we still had a blast! Friday was relax day we slept and worked, checked on the calves and slept some'more! Fair week really wipes ya out! Saturday rolled around and we sold the calves! Holli and I did great...we were really grateful to the community for coming and supporting us rascally kids! Big shout out to everyone that came and supported...without them there would be no 4-h program! After sale we felt relieved and little sad to know that fair week was coming to an end! So we ended the week with a bang by staying up all night in the camper, playing sardines at 2 in the morning at the fair-grounds and visiting with a nice cop...don't worry we didn't get in trouble, he was just doing his job making sure we weren't causing any trouble...that he knew of haha :) When Sunday rolled around we loaded the calves and said goodbye! I  never get to sad saying goodbye just because I know they are going to a dairy and will be safe...I don't think I could handle knowing that it was going to be one of my future Sunday dinners! All in all fair week was amazing! I am so glad I was able to do it for the past 11 years! It is one summer memory I will always have! Here are some photos of the fabulous week!
Enjoy! :)

Cute little Holli showing her calf, Ginger!

Me showing Mary-Anne

On our way to wash cows before show! Which was at 6:00 in the AM...little to early to look that nice!

This girl made my Summer as fun as it has been! I love her, and am so glad she is my wittle baby sister! :)

Our little neighbor Kyson Brock Stewart did mutton-bustin' he is the cute one in the middle!

Me, Dakota, and Ariel...actually Sophia haha she is pretty hilarious!
Also Dakota made the last half of my Summer pretty adventurous! She is one great girl and I am lucky to have her as a friend! :)

Ok so this little girl is freakin' hilarious she would say the funniest things and crack everyone up! If you can't tell she had a blue snow-cone...and she likes to be called princess names! I was named Sleeping beauty and got invited for to a sleep-over at her house...I would say I am pretty lucky!

I can't wait to blog next time...I will be back from ALASKA!! See ya soon! :)

Fair week...part 1

Well hello there fellow bloggers! Just an update on my over-exciting life for all who care! This week is fair week! Wahoooo! I was a lucky duck and got to do fair one more year after high school which was nice because I am a poor college student who would doing anything for some extra dough! haha! But fair week is always a blast because I have some friends who I have done fair with my entire fair career which is always fun! We walk around feeling to old to be doing this because no one else our age is at the fair but we do it anyways! For those who don't know, I show dairy heifers and have since I was nine! It's pretty cool to say I showed dairy growing up...sometimes! haha! But really I do enjoy it and have made some great memories in my past 11 years of showing. I will update later on how the week went down but for now, know that I am at the fair walking around with Dakota Goff feeling dumb for not having anyone but our little sisters to hang out with! haha But really we have a BLAST!!!
