No...It's not Thanksgiving!

Today my roommate  gave a WONDERFUL talk in sacrament meeting today about gratitude so naturally my wheels started turning and it really made me think how blessed I really am! I take so much for granted and I can't help but feel guilty when I see someone who has gone through so much with a smile on their face looking forward to another day. A family from my hometown have been going through a really hard time. Their son has cancer and is most likely not going to live for more than another day. His wife blogs about the trials they are going though but she never forgets to be thankful for the wonderful people who have done small acts of kindness towards them. I feel so blessed to be born to amazing parents who love and support me in everything, to be born into the gospel, to have sisters who will always be my friends, to live in a free country. Simple little things that are I look over every day. I could go on and on with the blessings I am fortunate enough to live with. I am going to make it a priority in my life to be more grateful, and realize my blessings. My only hope through this is that I will become less selfish and more self-less.
