Alright so I think we can all assume that fair is and always will be a blast, when you have, good food, late nights, awesome friends, and an animal to show! This was my last year being able to do fair so I tried to make it the most memorable I could! It was for sure a one I will always remember! So day one, Monday was interviews not a big deal. I got in the top ten for both interview and record books which is something I have never done before! I was really excited I did so well...seeing as how I was such a procrastinator the entire Summer but I am not complaining! :) Monday night was the best night for us to take our calves in, weigh-inn wasn't until Tuesday morning but this year Dad was head honcho for the entire dairy calves so he wouldn't be able to help us at all on Tuesday, so Monday it was! The booth was decorated and the calves were comfortable so it was really a grand idea in my book! Tuesday morning was weigh inn, mine weighed in at 489 pounds and Hollster's was 425. It was a good year and we were happy! Wednesday was clipping day...which only equals one thing! GROSS! We clipped the calves and felt disgusting afterwords but they looked nice and sharp for Thursday which was show day! Holli and I did great! No big ribbons this year, but we both got all blues and were happy with that! Thursday night my friend Dakota invited us to stay in her cousins camper! It was really fun, we were really tired from showing but we still had a blast! Friday was relax day we slept and worked, checked on the calves and slept some'more! Fair week really wipes ya out! Saturday rolled around and we sold the calves! Holli and I did great...we were really grateful to the community for coming and supporting us rascally kids! Big shout out to everyone that came and supported...without them there would be no 4-h program! After sale we felt relieved and little sad to know that fair week was coming to an end! So we ended the week with a bang by staying up all night in the camper, playing sardines at 2 in the morning at the fair-grounds and visiting with a nice cop...don't worry we didn't get in trouble, he was just doing his job making sure we weren't causing any trouble...that he knew of haha :) When Sunday rolled around we loaded the calves and said goodbye! I never get to sad saying goodbye just because I know they are going to a dairy and will be safe...I don't think I could handle knowing that it was going to be one of my future Sunday dinners! All in all fair week was amazing! I am so glad I was able to do it for the past 11 years! It is one summer memory I will always have! Here are some photos of the fabulous week!
Enjoy! :)
Cute little Holli showing her calf, Ginger!

On our way to wash cows before show! Which was at 6:00 in the AM...little to early to look that nice!
This girl made my Summer as fun as it has been! I love her, and am so glad she is my wittle baby sister! :)
Our little neighbor Kyson Brock Stewart did mutton-bustin' he is the cute one in the middle!
Me, Dakota, and Ariel...actually Sophia haha she is pretty hilarious!
Also Dakota made the last half of my Summer pretty adventurous! She is one great girl and I am lucky to have her as a friend! :)
Ok so this little girl is freakin' hilarious she would say the funniest things and crack everyone up! If you can't tell she had a blue snow-cone...and she likes to be called princess names! I was named Sleeping beauty and got invited for to a sleep-over at her house...I would say I am pretty lucky!
